white chocolate banana brownies

i’ve got many questions, so let’s start answering. if i couldn’t answer to all the questions, i’ll leave an answer to your comment. we were here last week, question from donna banks. all veggie dishes videos have english subtitles. but some videos of my main channel don’t, so i’ll do my best. from fun ga_ “it seems like you are building much muscle in the past year. how do you train?” i train 4 – 5 times a week. and i train muscle group separately. basically i separate into four muscle group. like day 1 is chest, day 2 is leg and abdominal, day 3 is shoulder and day 4 is back.

i just repeat doing that and the menu is like this. but i sometimes do different menu. i do 5-12 reps for each set, and 3 sets for each menu. i do 5 – 6 different menus in a day. and try to finish all the training within 30 – 40 minutes. from ma lu, “i enjoy watching always. i have a question. there are always the scene you are cutting ingredients, i’d like to know what kind of knives you are using.” “it seems like you got a new knife as you changed your kitchen. could you show us your knife as well as the previous knives you were using?” knives are here, so…

i’m now using these 5 knives. and the newest one is this. this one is a collaboration of zwilling and bob kramer. but i guess this big size is not sold in japan. all these four knives are global pro series. i’m using gp-1, gp-2, gp-4 and gp-14. i mostly use this gp-14 or this one and gp-4. from nukariya, “i always look forward to your videos. what did you use inside the oven when you baked bread? it looked flat board or something and i though it is useful.”

oh i’ve got some stuff in here. is this what you are talking about? and maybe this one too? this is made of stainless steel and order made. this fits perfectly in this oven. i could use only this one, but… with this copper board, heat from the oven can easily go into inside of ingredients.so i always use this one too. i bought this at rakuten or somewhere. i’ll put a link in description box so check them out. from matsuda, “i want to ask you a few questions, is your flat a rental or you bought it?i’m renting here.

“i’m not a vegan and told my husband about being a vegan, and he said i shouldn’t be. he also said that it’s not a good thing just eating vegetables in front of our 4 years old daughter. what do you think?” i’ve been a vegan for 8 years now, and i’m really healthy now. i think i’m much healthier than the most of other people. i just feel that myself. i’m now so much healthier than i was before becoming vegan. i don’t have any problems on my body. all the problems i was having is now completely gone. so i believe my current vegan diet really suits me. that’s one of the reasons why i keep eating this way. but it depends on individuals. even if you are a vegan, how and what food do you eat everyday, if you feel stresss or not if you are working at company, and where you live, those things really affect your health. it’s not like you can be healthy only by choosing what to eat. but from my experience, i can tell you i’m totally healthy without eating meat.

question continues, “is it a bad thing that i only eat vegetables in front of 4 years old children?” i don’t think it’s a bad thing to do, but at least maybe you should respect others no matter what their thought is. but, treasure yourself more than you treasure others. i think it’s important. from sakuramochianco, “nice to meet you, i discovered your channel when i was looking for a video of how to make natural yeast. then i became a fan on you and enjoy watching your video.” it’s a long question, i’ll give you a quick answer. home cream charger dispenser is not sold in japan. but soda siphon is sold in japan. you may not be able to find it at department store, but you can easily find it online. “i like your cutting board, is it order made?”

i bought it at crate & barrel in the united states. “what kind of cutting board do you recommend?” as long as it’s made of hard wood, any cutting board should be ok. i prefer bigger cutting board, so i always try to find bigger one. i think i already answered this question. take a look this q&a. from noburin, “how do you make recipes which you haven’t tasted before and can’t imagine the original taste?” the food i can’t imagine the taste because i haven’t tasted before… basically i have eaten everything before, so there’s no food or recipe that i can’t imagine the taste. this is the food processor i use. it’s called robot coupe.

the blender i use is vitamix. this small vitamix is called s30. i’m sorry the flying pan is in the fridge i can’t show you now. this pan is the same brand.this is made of pure titan. someday.lolokay let’s answer question no.2! basically i have all the ingredients in my kitchen that has long expired date. i have almost everything in stock except for vegetables and fruits. i don’t have specific favorite food like i want to eat everyday. okay next! wait, let me put these stuff back. next question from nana lei, “i always watch your videos.

what do you watch when you are cutting down? it looks you are gaining more muscle than before. it would be helpful if you are answering.” i try not to eat much carbohydrate. i also watch how much i eat in a day. i roughly calculate the total calories and keep my calorie about 1500 to 1800. from matsuda, “i look forward to every mondays. i’m interested in your kitchen equipment. it looks you have several kinds of blenders.” i only have vitamix here. i don’t know how to read this name. question is “i’ll make chilled soba noodles with fried mochi soon.” “you uploaded pottery video on your main channel. are you particular about plates? how long have you been doing pottery?”

i buy ceramics only when i really like it. it’s been 3 – 4 years since i started doing pottery. but i don’t have enough time to do pottery last two years or so. i want to buy electric wheel and use it at home. i hope i can do it within this year. “what exercise do you incorporate in your daily routine?” when i go to a gym, i do running, biking or walking every time, so i exercise 4 – 5 times a week. i create recipe beforehand, then adjust the amounts of ingredients while i’m shooting. maybe the latter(make it as you go) is the closer answer. from satoshi yamamoto, “i enjoy watching always. i’m checking your blog as well, are you planning to do cafe in near future?” unfortunately, no i’m not. from sann kaomanngai, “hi, i always enjoy watching.

what oven are you using? i’ve been thinking about getting new one. can you also tell us advantages and disadvantages of the oven?” i’m using national ne-w300. this oven is really useful and easy to use, so there’s no disadvantage i think. advantage is, this oven is big so i can put two trays at the same time. that’s all. there are no big differences if you buy an oven that is a certain size and has some good functions. from tatsumi, “do you create recipes by yourself?” yes. “you’re very goot with your hands. have you been like that since you were a kid?”i think so. i think so.

“i’d like to hear the story like you were good at building plastic model or something like that.” honestly, i didn’t notice that i was good with my hands when i was a kid. so i think i don’t have any stories of it. but i can tell you that cleverness of my hands comes from a gene. my mother is also clever with making things. and my both of grandmother are clever with their hands too. and both of my grandfather’s were detail oriented person. so it’s a gene. from hina, “thank you for answering to my comment. i have another question. what is your advice to people who are trying to do vegan or vegetarian diet?”

some people can change their diet to a vegan diet easily. but it’s quite minority though. generally, it’s better to change your diet gradually. like stop eating meat one time a week, then two times a week, one meat free day a week, two meat free day a week, something like that. or as a first step, stop eating beef first. well, don’t forget not to change too quickly. from aoki nana, “i enjoy watching your videos. you seem to be working as a freelancer or something. what do you do for a living?” i think i already answered to this kind of question before. basically i’m self-employed and doing many things. of course making movie like this is also one of my jobs now.

i sometimes do cooking classes, or give recipes and do other stuff. “do you have a girlfriend?” no. from tsuji kanako, “i enjoy watching with my daughter. do you have any health improvement after you changed your diet?” yes, i have many. i used to have headache since i was a kid, but after becoming vegan, it’s completely gone now. my skin got really clearer. i’m sure you’d be amazed if you became a vegan. pimples never occur unless i eat too much fatty (vegan) food. i used to get lots of canker sores but now, i almost don’t get a canker sore. or i would say i never get a canker sore anymore.

i can’t remember when was the last time i had a canker sore. well anything else… i didn’t like my bad breath when i wake up. but it’s gone now. so for me, many good things happened after becoming a vegan. next question is…not a ques…yes it is. from pitan, “i always look forward delicious recipes every week. what do you do to the food or dessert you made for video. cakes are not a small portion for one person. and i’d love to go to your caf㩠someday.” i give away to someone if i had too much food. it’s not that i’m always cutting down.

weight training is like a repeat process of bulking up and cutting down. and i’m just on cutting down process right now. about exercise, i do running, cycling and swimming because i love taking part in triathlon race. maybe that’s all i do. from moon and gaia. wow, that’s an epic name. “your kitchen is amazing. can you do some kitchen tour? i’d like to see your kitchen equipment and ingredients in your pantry.” someday soon. from tanchi, “i look forward to your videos every week. i have allergies to nuts and soy, so i can’t eat most of vegan foods. but i feel like as if i’m eating them while watching your videos.”

you’re welcome. and that wasn’t a question though. from mochineko, “thanks for your beautiful videos. i have a question. how do you get rid of deep flying oil? do you use it only one time? and how do you keep deep flying oil?” actually i never deep fly foods at home unless i need to do for shooting a video. so when i deep fly at home, i use the oil a few times then i put it into compost to raise the temperature of the compost. i’m sorry this isn’t a useful information for you. maybe you’d better not to deep fly at home often.it could make you fat anyway. all the dish at chez panisse was kind of greasy. and if you are a vegan, there’s almost no foods to eat. “what do you most like about sf?”

especially vegetarian and vegan culture is always one step ahead in san francisco. it’s really fun to see cutting edge products and meet new people doing interesting things. from makarisutaaa, “do you drink alcohol?” i have a high tolerance, but i don’t drink. from tmc, “nice to meet you. i always watch your videos with two kids and feel relaxed. what brand are your pans that you always use in your videos? ” “i’d like to buy non-stick pan but i’m not sure which pan i should buy. and still i’m using non-stick pan. i look forward to see your fun and beautiful videos.” i showed you a short while ago, okay i’ll show you again. you can purchase this at acumoe. go to their hp and have a look at it. this is made of pure titan and really useful.

i really don’t have favorite food like i want to eat it every day. i didn’t like vegetables when i was a kid though. from yakyu no hito. “hi, my father has a allergy to wheat and your recipes are helpful. can you show us some recipes which is made from rice flour and have a crispy texture. pleaese.” i understand. someday soon. from nakamura, “i always feel relaxed by you. everything you make is beautiful. what blender do you use? do you no longer catch a cold after becoming a vegan?” everyone seems to have interest in the blender. it’s vitamix.

and i don’t catch a cold anymore since i become a vegan. but since i started weight training, i catch a cold about 2 times a year. immune system gets really weak right after weight training. i got a cold right after honolulu triathlon last year. it seems hard work out make immune system really weak. but it has nothing to do with vegan anyway. basically, i guess you wouldn’t catch a cold easily if you became a vegan. all the question is done. i might not put all the q&a i shot today in this video. but if i did so, i’ll answer to your question by leaving a comment. so check them out if i didn’t answer to your question in these q&a video. see you next week!
